Okay, so whats the difference and how do I decide?
The 2 questions you need to ask yourself is:
- Do you need to rank for broad generic keywords?
- Is ranking in Google important or do you already have the traffic through Adwords etc. and just need the sale?
If you answered yes to the first question then you need a SEO-focused landing page. This would include lots of content and images with links directing your customers to your sales pages, forms, phone numbers etc… These are your calls to action.
The key here is to have a low bounce rate and inform your customers with good original information, filled with lots of meaning and full keywords. They can then be moved onto other pages.
If you said yes to the second question then you need a very simple short conversion-focused page. This would focus on a form or video and only the specifics on your product or services. A high bounce rate on this page is good.
