What is a CMS?
CMS or Content Management Systems allows you, the customer, to log into your site and update the content as often as you need to keep it fresh and new. Unlimited pages, content, images and no contracts. The great thing about our CMS is we only charge for labour, so no contracts or monthly fees. We can add lots of applications like newsletters or secure pages for your customers to view/download privileged content.
When purchasing a CMS please make sure that it is Google friendly, as most are not!
If it is not, Google may not be able to find your site’s pages! At Cultivate Digital we maintain a high standard and of course use an SEO/Google friendly CMS.
Some CMS’s can be expensive because of the security (logins) and the time needed to set up your database. We do not charge monthly fees for our CMS and we pass the savings on to you.
Our CMS of choice is WordPress.
We love WordPress because there are no restrictions on design and it is well known for its SEO features. Client’s love it as well! When they compare it to other CMS’ like Joomla, Wix or Squarespace it’s a walk in the park.
WordPress is also very simple and fast to build in, which means a cheaper and better site for you, the owner.
Why an open source CMS?
It’s cheaper and we have access to hundreds of add-ons, plugins and support. It’s more customisable and flexible. We are confident when talking to a client that we will be able to say ‘yes’ when asked about adding new features.
