Google Ad update
Google’s updated algorithm has placed a higher importance on websites with out lots of Advertisements.
The change is one of the many steps they are putting in place to make the search results better for us humans.
According to Matt Cutts from Google all High-quality sites will also be rewarded and spamy Ad sites will be penalised. His blog goes on to say “we’ve heard complaints from users that if they click on a result and it’s difficult to find the actual content, they aren’t happy with the experience. Rather than scrolling down the page past a slew of ads, users want to see content right away. So sites that don’t have much content ‘above-the-fold’ can be affected by this change”.
Sopa
I am sure you have all heard of SOPA by now, if not you can read up by doing a search on it.
Wikipedia was down for 24hrs in protest and this has had a great effect on the bill.
The America bill initially looked like it would block or even close sites with copyrighted material. All without a hearing or court case – guilty before begin proven innocent. The internet community has responded with some humorous memes.

Questions and Answers
Q: How do I add a video to my site?
A: I find its best to use youtube or vimeo. You can upload directly to your site but the success will depend on your internet upload speed and timeout limit. Youtube also saves on your hosting bill.
Its very similar to adding an image. Pick your page that you want to add the video too. Click somewhere in the content and then click the little film strip icon, its next to the image button second line second from the left. This will pop up a new window. If your adding a youtube video just copy and paste your embed code directly in the “File/URL” box and hit insert, done! To get your embed code youtube will have a share button, click this then embed to get your code.
